Sitting on the sandy steps, taking in the salty sea breeze as waves crash on the golden shoreline. It hadn't actually been a long time since she'd last came here but it sure had been since anyone lived in this shack. Her little hiding spot where she'd talk to the lingering ghosties while keeping out of Rocket's line of sight, another place which she could once call home until Sootopolis had been turned upsidedown.[break][break]

"It's just... kinda sad that we can't really deck out this place to its fullest potential. We could have made a funky scarehouse!!" She whines, kicking up her feet as Reiner snorts at her. Then he swings something right into her side, a bag of materials which she had packed from the morning. "I mean, yeah we were gonna make it more festive but I mean a real horror house!! Like when we scared Angelo and Skyler!!"[break][break]

But her pouting won't stop her as she pulls out a few sticks and a bunch of straw from the bag, weaving it together to form the base of a miniature scarecrow. All she needs now is to create a scary face for it and start decorating the porch.[break][break]

As usual when he comes disguised Razz does what he usually does and comes to his home for a visit. He wants to make sure that his ghost pokemon don't get too out of hand, because otherwise they like to cause trouble to those that visit. And with his house being one of the more well known 'haunted houses' of the island last thing he needs is visitors being attacked. [break][break]

Thats when he spots Eris and it makes him pause to blink. He definitely wasn't expecting her here, especially with a weird looking bag. Salem is quick to jump away and head to the house via the scenic route because he knows it'll give him away right away. Sable keeps near though keep the disguised up on 'Ashton' as he leans over his fence, none of his garden pokemon paying him much mind as they're too curious on what Eris is doing. [break][break]

"Wut ya uuuup toooo?" he questions in the accent he's given this character. Curious if the other would recognize him at all.

[attr="class","inner-finally"]No matter how people try to disguise themselves, they always leave a trace of who they truly are. As her good eye drifts up to match the gaze of the stranger, she notes how Reiner barely seems to tense up, even though he's far more alert at the presence of another. He knows something that she doesn't and she knows that his instincts are often on the money when it comes to people that she doesn't quite know.[break][break]

"Making scarecrows." She hums as she picks a red marker up. "Trying to make this place look spooky."[break][break]

Reiner gets up from his spot, leaving a patch of warmth that Eris places her tiny creations onto. Then he slinks right over to the unknown person, getting a good old look and sniffing at him before promptly pulling away. And as he trots back over to the girl, he cocks his head sharply, twisting his tail when she looks to him for a verdict.[break][break]

"Disguises are fun, but it's not quite Halloween yet." There's no need for her to run, nor do anything else really as she moves her crafts aside for Reiner to lay back down. "You remind me of the person who dressed his pokemon up as Raikou and proclaimed himself to be Johto's hero. Weird but still much more manageable."

'Ashton' does nothing as the Luxray sniffs him, knowing full well he has nothing to worry about. Though its clear that the cat was able to pick up on who he really was as Eris calls him out on his 'disguise.' Rude much, but he doesn't do anything but chuckle as he goes back. Now with his garden pokemon at attention, his Whimsicott looks over and she jumps up in excitment as she is quick to run to the stranger and tackle into him giving him a bit of an 'oof' before he holds her. The grass type giving him nuzzles as she clearly missed her trainer. [break][break]

Though at the mention of someone dressed up as 'Raikou' Razz just sighs. Seems like the newer Ranger definitely got around, "Halloween ain't the only reason ta dress up," he keeps the accent as who knows who might show up, "Ah see you've met one of the new Rangers," he says with some exasperation as he thinks of Josh Dragomir during the meeting and his insistence of becoming the Avatar of the lightning beast. [break][break]

"Don't compare me ta that, tis meeeeean," he jest as he moves in and looks at the project, "Sooo dis suppose ta be scary?"

"Gotta love the colorful cast of characters ya get being a Gym Leader, even if yer a junior one, ever plan on changin' that?" he can't help but question if there was anything else in Eris' list of goals since they were just here hanging at his home. Decorating his house of all things, a sentence in which he never would've thought he'd ever say in life before now. [break][break]

"Yeeeeeah but wut if we don't will it?" he jokes though it seems like one of his ghost pokemon picks up on it. His shiny gastly coming in to take control of the pumpkin head of the scarecrow with it's gas looking similar to a blue flame as it gives the preteen roar as it attempts a scary face at her. The ghost pokemon's love of pranks sparing no one, not even their trainer or the child.
